Net Zero Accelerator Initiative
Purpose: The initiative is part of the Strategic Innovation Fund, which accepts applications on an ongoing, non-competitive basis.
Its investment pillars are:
Decarbonization of large emitters
Industrial transformation
Clean technology and battery ecosystem development.
Eligibility:
-Businesses (corporations, cooperatives
partnerships)
-Networks or consortiums (i.e., a collection of companies, not-for-profit organizations, and/or other institutions incorporated in Canada).
Deadline: N/A
Incentives for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles Program (iMHZEV)
Purpose: Offers point-of-sale incentives for the purchase or lease of eligible medium and heavy-duty ZEVs.
Funding: Up to $200,000.
Eligibility: Canadian businesses and organizations with an office registered in Canada.
Deadline: N/A
Green Jobs for hiring organizations
Purpose: Provides funding to hire, train, and mentor youth in the natural resources sector.
Funding: Up to 75% in wage subsidies.
Eligibility:
-Organizations in the natural resources sector who can offer youth full-time (min. 30 hours/week, some exceptions may apply) work experience for up-to-12 months
-Businesses
-Not-for-profit organizations
-Government bodies
-Indigenous organizations

Artificial Intelligence for Canadian Energy Innovation
Purpose: Funding applied research, development & demonstration (RD&D) of AI‑powered clean energy solutions to accelerate Canada’s energy transition.
Funding: Grants of CAD $500,000 to $1,500,000 per project, covering up to 75% of eligible costs.
Eligibility:
-Canadian‑incorporated or registered organizations (for‑profit, nonprofit), academic institutions, community groups
-Municipal, provincial, territorial or regional governments & their agencies
-Indigenous communities or majority Indigenous‑owned organizations, including Indigenous governments or tribal councils
Deadline: Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted by December 11, 2025 — 1:00 PM EST.
