B Corp Certification - Legal Assistance Packages

You run a social enterprise and want to become a certified B Corp. But you don’t know how to go about it. We get it. So we’ve put together a couple B Corp certification packages where we assist your business with certification for a clear, simple flat fee.

Keep in mind though, B certification is hard. At the end of the day, the policies you’re willing to adopt will determine if you qualify or not. But if we can’t get you across the finish line, we can still ensure that:

  • your articles and minute book are in good order;

  • you’ll get a set of social and environmental policies displaying your commitment to social responsibility (see ours here); and

  • you’ll learn where your company has room for improvement, so you can get certified in the future.

And if you’re still unsure about the benefits, drawbacks, and legal ramifications of becoming a certified B Corp in Canada, take a look at our B Corps and Benefit Companies: A Practical Guide for Canadian Businesses publication.

(Each package includes associated government filing fees, excepting extra-provincial registration fees, if applicable.)

Social Enterprise Starter

(plus tax)

The Social Enterprise Starter option is available for new businesses looking to incorporate and position themselves for B Corp certification.

This package includes:

  • A NUANS name search

  • Initial return filing

  • Articles of incorporation (including B Corp legal element)

  • Operational bylaws (By-Law No. 1)

  • Social and environmental bylaws (By-Law No. 2)

You’ll also get one clean, organized minute book file with all of the above, as well as legal advice and guidance regarding incorporation.
